MyLanguage

The Library continues to look for effective ways to provide all Victorians - regardless of age or background - with access to information. One of our latest projects is MyLanguage, which addresses the needs of non-English-speaking communities in Australia. It is an online gateway to a wealth of web content that allows people to find information in their own language, quickly and easily.

Connecting all Victorians to the world

Our short animation shows you what MyLanguage looks like and how it works. The portal provides access to over six million information links in over 60 languages. It comprises search engines, web directories, online dictionaries, and news headlines in 43 languages via the BBC World News Service. This national web portal for multicultural Australia was established as a partnership with Australia's State and Territory libraries.
